MPS offers ourclients a sound marketing strategy for steadily increasing the number of website visitors, and putting in place systems that will convert those visitors into measurable results.  We offer two specific programs for online advertising: Paid Traffic via Pay Per Click and Organic traffic via Search Engine Optimization.

Pay Per Click (PPC) Traffic

Our primary focus for paid traffic is Google Adwords Pay-Per-Click (PPC) Advertising. We focus on Google because Google has over 75% market share for the total number of searches worldwide and provides the best system for optimizing the advertising budget.

I’m sure you are familiar with Google and the Advertisements that appear when you search for a search term. The advertisers displaying ads bid a maximum price they are willing to pay per click when the search visitor clicks on their ad. The higher you bid, the more prominently your ad is displayed. This is not always the case as your ads performance in relation to other advertisers ads also plays a role in your position on the page and how much you have to pay per click.  MPS manages PPC campaigns for clients in several different industries, and the cost per click varies greatly depending on the industry, the competition for keywords, and the quality of the clients website.

With Google Adwords you establish a daily budget and Google will display your ads until you have received enough clicks and reach your budget maximum. For example, one of our current clients has set is daily budget at $60 per day and averages $0.86 per click. He receives about 70-80 visitors daily from PPC and converts roughly 7% into a web lead or phone call, this translates to roughly 175 leads per month.  His closing rate is about 10%, which is 17 sales per month.  His profit per sale is high enough that spending $0.86 per click still provides enough ROI after paying is advertising cost.

The goal of any PPC campaign is to optimize the ads and website to minimize cost per click, thus increasing ROI.  This is done by optimizing the website’s landing pages, as well as constantly split testing ads.  Over time the cost per click goes down and the conversion rate goes up, increasing return on investment.  Generally speaking, a PPC campaign that costs $1 and yields $2 is being effectively managed.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

The alternative and more advantageous method of marketing your website on the Internet is Search Engine Optimization. The goal of SEO is to get your website listed in the top 10 listings for search terms related to your specific website or industry.

The key to getting your website listed is Content, Content, Content!  Original, keyword rich content is what the search engines are looking for, and they will reward you for your original content by listing you appropriately in the search engines.

SEO takes time and is an ongoing process that must be maintained if you want to achieve a first page listing.

This first step in SEO is to create a search engine friendly website, including the following components:
  • Search Engine Friendly URL’s
  • META Tags for each page including Title, Description and Keywords
  • Proper organization of information on the website using Headlines and Alt Tags, with keywords used often but appropriately in your website content.
  • XML Sitemap linking to all pages contained on the website.

All of the above elements are included with any MPS Web Design Package.

The next step is submitting your site to the different search engines so they will “spider” your pages and index your content.  To do this we will install Google Webmaster Tools and Yahoo! Site Explorer, which are free services provided by Google and Yahoo! to help you monitor your SEO effectiveness.

After the search engines are aware of your website and indexing your pages on a consistent basis, the next step is to build incoming website links.  These "incoming" links will help build your websites ranking of importance within the search engines databases. This takes time, but can provide a substantial amount of traffic over the long term as your website rises higher and higher on the search engine results pages.

To build back links we will submit your website to various website directories over a 12 month period, maintaining a certain number of submissions every 15 days. This will cause the search engines to gradually notice your link popularity increasing over time which will help you rise to the top of the search engine results pages.

Another way to build back links is to write articles and submit them to Article exchange directories. The purpose of this is to give other webmasters permission to use your articles on their websites and blogs as long as they includes a bi-line with the your information and a link to your website. The goal would be to submit 10+ articles to 10+ sources and have 20+ webmasters publish your article on their website. This would create 2,000+ back links to your website, which would increase your websites relevance in the search engines. Our service includes submission of articles to the top 10 article publishing websites.

The next step is to release a press release to the top PR websites on the Internet. This is similar to releasing an article because it will include a back link to your website.  Each SEO package includes one press release written and submitted to the top 10 PR websites on the Internet.

The most crucial part of your online marketing campaign: Tracking Effectiveness

A major part in any marketing endeavor is tracking the effectiveness of every marketing effort.  To do this with a website Google provides a free service called Google Analytics.  Google Analytics allows you to track how many visitors come to your website, how long they stay, which pages they view, where they came from, and much more. The best part of Google Analytics is it’s ability to track website goal conversion. You establish a goal, such as a user completing a web form, or purchasing a product, and Google Analytics will tell you how effective your website is in converting traffic into results.
